Description
Straight short peripheral intravenous catheter, available with or without wings.
Indications:
Designed for peripheral venous catheterization for infusion therapy, blood transfusion and intravenous administration of medications.
Easy Insertion:
The needle features optimized geometry and lubrication for smooth insertion.
The cannula is made from Vialon™, a durable and hemocompatible biomaterial.
The catheter tip is thinner, stronger and designed to provide reliable, smooth penetration.
The mechanical properties of Vialon™ help maintain bevel integrity and reduce the risk of tip deformation during insertion.
Patient Tolerance:
The catheter is firm before insertion and softens once inside the body, helping to reduce the risk of thrombophlebitis.
Radiopaque and non-pyrogenic catheter.
Colour-coded sizes allow easy identification of catheter diameters according to their intended use, including blood transfusion, infusion of viscous fluids, high-volume fluid administration (>3 litres/day), and standard infusion of 2–3 litres/day.
When using 18G to 22G catheters with syringe pumps and/or power injectors, pressure should not exceed 300 psi.
The obturator helps protect venous access when the catheter is not connected to an infusion, helping to prevent blood clotting and thrombus formation.
Latex-free.
Class IIa medical device.
Sterile, single-use medical device.
Available sizes: 14G, 16G, 18G, 20G, 22G, 24G and 26G.
